Direct Flights from Frankfurt to Belize Are Coming in December 2027
Discover Airlines plans seasonal Frankfurt to Belize City flights starting December 16, 2027. Here's what's announced so far and how to continue on to Ambergris Caye.

Getting from Europe to Belize is about to get simpler. Discover Airlines, the leisure airline of the Lufthansa Group, plans seasonal direct flights between Frankfurt and Belize City starting December 16, 2027, Love FM reports, citing the aviation site Aviation24.
What's been announced so far
- Route: Frankfurt to Belize City
- First flight: December 16, 2027
- Frequency: twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays
- Season: through mid-April 2028
- Tickets: expected to go on sale in mid-December 2026
That puts the flights in the northern winter, from mid-December to mid-April. Plans this far out can change, so confirm the details with Discover Airlines when tickets go on sale.
From Belize City to San Pedro
The flights land on the mainland, and San Pedro is on Ambergris Caye. There are two usual ways to finish the trip:
- A short domestic flight. Tropic Air and Maya Island Air both fly small planes from Belize City to the San Pedro airstrip.
- A water taxi. Boats run from Belize City to San Pedro. You'll need a ride from the international airport to the water-taxi terminal.
After a long-haul flight, give yourself a comfortable buffer for the connection, and check current schedules with each operator before you book.
Your golf cart can meet you when you land
Ambergris Caye is best explored by golf cart. It's how locals and visitors get to beachfront restaurants, the north end of the island and Secret Beach.
